It’s genuinely one of the best podcasts that tells the stories of successful founders. If you haven’t listened to How I Built This by Guy Raz, you should. □ How I Built This is one of my favorite podcasts… but it can be toxic for founders. It's inevitable that I'm missing a bunch of people, know that I'm grateful for each of you. It's a perfect metaphor for Rhizome's approach to effective advocacy, education, and systems change.Īs I reflect on how I got here, I also want to express my gratitude for the network of inspiring, intelligent, generous, mission-driven women that have mentored, supported, and nourished me over the course of the 15+ years of my career (whether you realize it or not!). Rhizomes (like ginger and turmeric) grow underground, horizontally, as an interconnected network that nourishes and supports. As I return to consulting, working with Rhizome is an ideal combination of these skills and passions! I built the foundations of my career with a decade of management consulting, then during my own health crisis became a digital health entrepreneur, and then led provider education initiatives to address disparities, increase affordability, and improve person-centered healthcare. I haven't followed a "traditional" career path, but I have followed my values, my curiosity, and my mission-driven spirit. I'm thrilled to be part of the Rhizome, LLC team! As of November, I'm consulting with public health and healthcare organizations to improve equitable, quality care.
